Get Connected

We believe life is best when you’re connected to other people in healthy relationships, so we want church to grow bigger and smaller at the same time. Life-change happens in small groups of people who are going in the same direction. That’s what our connect groups are all about. At Destiny people form groups around what matter in their lives. This can look like connecting with people who share similar interests, are in the same stage in life or by finding people who have experience in an area in which you want to grow. Our groups meet for a term and then take a break. You can join a group, start a group around something you already do or host a group in your home.

Who We Are

Destiny Church is part of the Assemblies of God Group churches. This is a group of around 133 churches in the country with approximately 2000 in total including our extended church family that includes the Assemblies of God Movement (Back to God) and the Assemblies of God Association. The AOG in South Africa has been a non-racial denomination since its inception and is administered by a multi-racial executive comprising 22 members.

Destiny Church East London has been here for many years and benefited from the work of various different leaders. Glenn and Vicky Cooke have been sent by the Assemblies of God Group to lead Destiny and be part of what God is building along with the 11 other churches in the Eastern Cape Region. They have been here since 2017.
